2005 Crossings Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color:  Yellowish hue

Nose:  Grapefruit and lime

Taste: Tropical fruit, a little sweet

Finish:  Refreshing and fruit dominated

Evaluation:  A well made wine that should be enjoyed on a hot day.  86 points

2005 Dog Point Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color:  Light gold

Nose:  Grass, grapefruit

Taste:  Grapefruit, minerals, grass, lemons

Finish:  Lemons, grass and grapefruit on a medium finish

Evaluation:  This is as good as New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc gets for me 91 points

2005 Kim Crawford Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color:  Yellowish hue

Nose:  Pear and citrus fruits

Taste:  Vibrant citrus flavors along with pear and orange peel

Finish:  Mineral with a short finish

Evaluation:  A great value Sauvignon Blanc that is consistent

year in and year out.  87 points

2005 Sheppards Ridge Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color:  Yellow

Nose:  Fresh cut grass, grapefruit, mineral

Taste:  Grass, grapefruit, and mineral, bit acidic

Finish:  Big wine with grapefruit and mineral dominating

Evaluation:  A solid example of SB.  87 points

2006 Brancott Sauvignon Blanc $

Color:  Light gold

Nose:  Light with peach

Taste:  Light wine with mineral

Finish:  Weak

Evaluation:  Not a good S.B. 81 points

2006 Kim Crawford Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color:  Yellowish hue

Nose:  Grapefruit, mineral

Taste:  Sweet fruit, grapefruit, and mineral

Finish:  Medium with grapefruit, mineral, and lime

Evaluation:  A nice consistent taste and a good value.  87 points

2006 Huia Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color:  Light gold

Nose:  Grapefruit, mineral

Taste:  Mineral, grapefruit

Finish:  A little on the short side but refreshing.  Tropical fruit and mineral dominate

Evaluation:  A light Sauvignon Blanc compared to some others I tried recently.  85 points

2006 New Haven Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color:  Light yellow

Nose:  Mineral, crisp nose with lemon and citrus notes

Taste:  Mineral, balanced acidity, lemon, citrus

Finish:  Medium length with mineral, citrus

Evaluation:  One of the best Sauvignon Blancs I have tasted. 89 points

Color:  Medium yellow

Nose:  Mineral, grapefruit

Taste:  Huge mouthful of mineral, grapefruit, orange

Finish:  Multi layered long finish with mineral, grapefruit, and lime

Evaluation:  The new best S.B. I have ever had!  92 points

Color:  Medium yellow

Nose:  Grass, floral, citrus

Taste:  Citrus, floral, grass

Finish:  Multi layered and medium with floral, grass, and citrus

Evaluation:  The best Sauvignon Blanc I have ever had!  91 points

Color:  Medium yellow

Nose:  Mineral, cola, grapefruit

Taste:  Mineral, grapefruit, straw

Finish:  Solid and well balanced

Evaluation:  A well made wine that will please those who don't like intense wines.  87 points

2007 Cloudy Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color: Light gold

Nose:  Grapefruit, floral

Taste:  Intense grapefruit and floral

Finish:  Medium and good acid

Evaluation:  88 points

Nose:  Grapefruit, mineral, apple

Taste:  Mineral, grapefruit

Finish:  Medium with grapefruit, mineral, and pear

Evaluation:  Good for the price.  85 points

Color:  Light gold

Nose:  Mineral, tropical fruit

Taste:  Surprise it was decant with grapefruit and mineral

Finish:  Short

Evaluation:  For a cheap drink worth it 82 points

2008 Nobilo "Icon" Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color:  Medium gold

Nose:  Wow with grapefruit, spices

Taste:  Grapefruit, lemon, sour apple

Finish:  A burst of acidity on this medium finishing wine

Evaluation:  A great wine 91 points

Taste:  Really sour with grapefruit, lemons and mineral
