2003 Columbia Crest Columbia Valley Chardonnay

Color:  Clear with hints of yellow

Nose:  Mineral, pear

Taste:  Very smooth wine with pear and mineral notes

Finish:  Short with fruit and a slight buttery finish

Evaluation:  A great value that is a great party wine 86 points

2004 Covey Run Columbia Valley Riesling $

Color:  Light yellow

Nose:  Citrus and mineral

Taste:  Sweet, floral, buttery, mineral

Finish:  Short with a sweet burst of fruit and mineral

Evaluation:  A nice value wine. 87 points

2004 Chateau Ste. Michelle Chardonnay Canoe Ridge $$

Color:  Clear with hints of yellow

Nose:  Minerals, pear, grapefruit, and slight hint of lemon.

Taste:  Not much oak and easy drinking with nice fruits.

Finish:  A nice fruit laden finish of about 30 seconds.

Evaluation:  If you do not like Chardonnay then try this and then tell me you don’t like them.  90 points

2004 Chateau Ste. Michelle Ethos Chardonnay $$$

Color:  Medium yellow

Nose:  Rich with earth, spice and a slight musty smell

Taste:  Spice, apple, citrus, mineral

Finish:  Medium to long with spice, mineral, and earth

Evaluation:  Another winner from Washington.  90 points

2004 Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Chardonnay $

Color:  Light yellow

Nose:  Apple, pear, oak

Taste:  Oak, apple, and pear

Finish:  Medium with apple, pear, oak, vanilla, and a buttery finish kicks in 30 seconds later

Evaluation:  84 points

2004 Hogue Late Harvest Riesling $

Color:  Dark yellow

Nose:  Honey, mineral

Taste:  Sweet and thick with mineral, pear, floral

Finish:  Medium with a sweet component.  Also mineral and honey

Evaluation:  Nice overall for the price.  83 points

2005 Chateau Ste. Michelle Canoe Ridge Horse Heaven Hills Chardonnay $$

Color:  Medium gold

Nose:  Rich, spice, oak, pear, and apple

Taste:  Oak, vanilla, spice, pear, apple

Finish:  Medium with spice, oak, vanilla, that weaves into a buttery finish.

Evaluation:  The best white wine for under $15 I have ever had.  92 points

2005 Chateau Ste. Michelle Cold Creek Vineyard Columbia Valley  Chardonnay $$$

Color:  Medium yellow

Nose:  Pineapple, pear, mild oak, mineral

Taste:  Pineapple, pear, oak, mineral, vanilla

Finish:  Medium and balanced wine without the big oak taste

Evaluation:  Fruit forward wine that for the price is a knockout.  Ste. Michelle is America's best producer of Chardonnay for under $30.  91 points

2005 Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Chardonnay $

Color:  Medium gold

Nose:  Oak, pear, apple

Taste:  Oak, vanilla, apple, pear, some tannins

Finish:  Medium and well balanced

Evaluation:  As good as it gets for this price.  87 points

2005 Chateau Ste. Michelle Horse Heaven Hills Sauvignon Blanc $$

Color:  Light gold

Nose:   Mineral, grapefruit, pineapple

Taste:  Mineral, grapefruit, floral, sour, little bitter

Finish:  Medium with grapefruit, mineral, floral

Evaluation:  A good US S.B. for the money.  87 points

2005 Columbia Crest Grand Estates Columbia Valley Chardonnay $

Color:  Medium gold

Nose:  Rich, pear, lemon, oak Taste:  Mineral, oak, lemon, vanilla, spice

Finish:  Medium with mineral, oak, lemon, vanilla, spice, floral

Evaluation:  As good as it gets for under $10 in the Chardonnay Department.  88 points

2005 Columbia Winery Riesling $

Color: Sweet, citrus

Nose:  Sweet with fruit emerging

Taste: Sweet fruit

Finish:  Short but with nice fruit

Evaluation:  Simple everyday drinker. 84 points

2005 Gordon Brothers Columbia Valley Chardonnay $$

Color:  Light yellow

Nose:  Smoke, musty

Taste:  Pear, mineral

Finish:  Mineral

Evaluation:  Nothing flawed just not an overly impressive wine.  86 points

2005 Hogue Columbia Valley Riesling $

Color:  Dark gold

Nose:  Mineral and a little musty

Taste:  Sweet with mineral, floral and apricots

Finish:  Medium with mineral and floral

Evaluation:  Simple but drinkable.  84 points

2005 Three Rivers Columbia Valley Chardonnay $$

Color:  Medium yellow

Nose:  Pine nuts, carmel, mineral, pineapple

Taste:  Pine nuts, carmel,mineral, pineapple

Finish:  Medium and balanced

Evaluation:  Good everyday wine 86 points

2006 Chateau Ste Michelle Eroica (Dr. Loosen) Riesling $$

Color:  Light gold

Nose:  Apple, pear, floral

Taste:  Touch of sweetness, mineral, floral, spice

Finish:Sweet up front with mineral, floral, spice

Evaluation:  Solid US Riesling and good value  88 points

2006 Columbia Crest Vineyard 10 White Wine (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semilion) $

Color:  Light gold

Nose:  Mineral, pear, peach, and intense

Taste:  Sweet, golden apples, mineral, spice

Finish:  Medium and intense with good acidity

Evaluation:  Another winner for the best winery in the world under the $10 price point

Taste:  Acidic and sweet with honey, apricots

Finish:  Medium with mineral and fruit

Evaluation:  Try this one on a hot day.  84 points

Finish:  Shorter but with a satisfying result

Evaluation:  Another winner from the best producer under $10 in the world.  85 points

Color:  Light gold

Nose:  Floral, slate, peach

Taste:  Slate, peach, apple, oak

Finish:  Medium and complex for the price

Evaluation:  Super wine for $5.  Hard to beat 89 points

2006 Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Riesling $

Color: Light gold

Nose:  Mineral, apple, pear

Taste:  Pear, apple, lemon, with a touch of sweet

Finish:  Balanced wine

Evaluation:  Great summer sipper 87 points

Nose:  Oak, mineral, butterscotch, pear

Taste:  Oak, mineral, butterscotch, pear, apple

Finish:  Medium and complex

Taste:  Bitter with oak, minerals, floral

Finish:  Buttery and medium

Evaluation:  Not real balanced 85 points

Taste: Mineral, lemon, sour apple, oak, vanilla, a bit bitter

Finish:  Medium but a bit bitter

Evaluation:  For $7 on sale a great wine 86 points

Finish:  Short with good acidity

Evaluation:  Clean wine with no use of oak 86 points

Taste:  Simple but good

Finish:  Shows good acidity and balance
