2001 Chateau Montrose St.-Estephe $$$$
Dark in color with a nose of pencil lead, ripe fruit, coffee and spices. Palate was concentrated with raspberries, pencil lead, coffee, minerals and integrated oak. This wine still posseses a medium tannic quality but should be drinking at a really high level in 5 years. 93 points
